Product is paid, however no connection ?

paid or renewed product doesn't work

So you have renewed your product or ordered a new product. But for some reason the package is not directly working. Well we've got you covered.

Log in on the client area, go to https://my.xsusenet.com/subscriptions/ and click on manage your subscription. Click on "Change your password" and change your password. To make sure all information goes live, repeat this step one more time and select the same password as you just entered. This might give new credentials, but should get your account working again

Username and/or password incorrect ?

Log in on the client area, go to https://my.xsusenet.com/subscriptions/ and click on manage your subscription. Click on "Change your password" and change your password. How to get started with Usenet [premium user, windows] ?

Create an account

Before you can start downloading with usenet you will need to have access to a usenet server. XSusenet offers both free and paid usenet packages. Select the right package for you on this page (http://xsusenet.com/#packages) and sign up.

After you have created a account you can log in to your personal account. You will get to the dashboard that looks like this.

Or the right you can see a tile with the title 'Your credentials'. These are your personal usenet credentials that you will need later on.

Select a usenet client

So we set up our account and have our credentials. The next step will be to find the right usenet client for your computer. This choice mostly depends on your operating system (Windows or Apple / Linux). In general we would advise Sabnzbd.

Windows

Step 1. Get Sabnzbd via http://sabnzbd.org/downloads. Execute the installer and follow the step by step wizard. Once you see the following screen please tick the box which should mention "NZB file Sabnzbd" (terms might differ depending on the selected language or version of Sabnzbd.

Once installed, you can run Sabnzbd from your computer.

Step 2. Configure Sabnzbd.

Run Sabnzbd from your computer. You can access the program after "opening" it via your browser (internet explorer, firefox, google chrome, safari, etc). Direct to http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/.

The following option might look different, depending on which version of Sabnzbd you are running. You should click on the config wheel on the top right as show in the image below. If you can't find it, you could also direct your browser towards http://localhost:8080/sabnzbd/config/.

In the top menu you will see the tab called " Servers". Click on this tab and select "Add"

Step 3. Add server

Add the serverdetails as shown below. All required information can be found on your dashboard.

Host: reader.xsusenet.com
Tick SSL and change the port to 443
Username: as shown in your dashboard
Password: as shown in your dashboard
Connections 50 for our unlimited premium users
Priority: 0

Click add server and you are ready to go. Sabnzbd can now open .nzb files which you obtained and start downloading the files!

As a free user, you can't use SSL ports. Click add server and you are ready to go. Sabnzbd can now open .nzb files which you obtained and start downloading the files!

Can't login at the client panel?

E-mail registered already, recover/reset password says email doesn't exist or account seems to be deleted

Once you receive one of the following messages above, your account is currently not active but is registered in our system. This might happened because your email address is invalid or we could at least not deliver our e-mail to your registered e-mail account. As mentioned in our Terms & Conditions: User requires a valid email address of the client to use the software. If a non-valid email address is used the User is allowed to terminate and remove the account of the client. Email address that does not work anymore (f.e. No MX records on the domain name or bounced) or are registered at a temporary email service are considered as invalid. User preserves the right to determine any email address as invalid without further notice to client. If you think this happened as a mistake (remember that we do not allow fake, temporary or disposable email accounts) and would like to reactivate your account you can contact our support team via the Live-chat button in the right bottom of your display.

Please make sure to leave your email address and mention the error message which you received.

How can I extend my premium package?

Please log in at our Client Area. If you can not log in or retrieve your password, please create a new account at our website. After logging in, you will see your dashboard. You can see your current subscription and click on the red square pay for your next period now. Follow the steps and you are all set.

How can I remove my account?

Please log in at our Client Area. After logging in, you will see your dashboard. You can click on my account and then on edit account or log in and follow this link. On the bottom click on "remove my account".

Activate your (free) package

how do I get my free package?

Please log in at our Client Area. If you can not log in or retrieve your password, please create a new account at our website. After logging in, you will find the menu button "Products", click on "Products". Choose your desired package. Complete the process and you will receive your new credentials in your e-mailbox. Please keep in mind that our accounts are 2 Mbit packages with a 25 GB data limit per month (resetting each 30 days, starting 30 days after your initial order).

If you would like to benefit from our unlimited speed or without any data limit, we would recommend our Unlimited Premium Package which you can order at our productspage.

How can I renew my free package

renew free Usenet package

You will receive an email 2 days before your current subscription expires. Please make sure if it did not end up in your spambox. If your did not receive that e-mail prior to expiration and when your package is expired, you are also able to order a new free package once your current package is expired.

How can I change my Usenet password

Change my Usenet password

To change your Usenet password please log in at the client area. When you are logged in click on the block "My Subscriptions". Select the active package by clicking on "Manage" where you would like to change your password. In the left menu you will see the tab "Actions" and just below that section you will see the option to change your password. Click on "Change your password" and enter your new password, confirm your password and save the changes. From this moment you should be able to log in on Usenet with your new password.

A while ago we have revamped our FREE Usenet package. Unlike before, we offer a retention of 1100 days instead of 10 days and we do have a monthly bandwidth limit of 25 GB.

Your Usenet package is/or will be temporarily paused. In the client area you can check when your package will end and when this can be renewed.

What is the minimum term for a package?

We do offer monthly packages, which are our shortest term. You can also order a package for a longer period which offers a bigger discount. Those packages start at quarterly, semi-annual or annual term.

Our subscriptions are NOT automatically set to renewal, so you are not stuck with a package if you are on a holiday, or if you do not like our service (which we can not imagine).

PayPal charged me without my knowledge

You are probably on a PayPal subscription, please read here on how to cancel your subscription. Please contact our support team with all the transaction details such as:

  • Date
  • Time
  • Amount
  • Transaction Reference ( This ID is a seventeen-character alphanumeric code.
    example: 1AB23456C7890123D )

With these details we are able to assist you sooner. Your account will be extended or can be refunded.

I did receive a creditcard charge, however my product is not active in my client area

Your bank/creditcard placed a temporary reservation on your card but the payment will be rejected. The payment is more than probable unsuccessful due to your account details not being up to date. Once you update your account details (insert your full first and last name) in the client area you will be able to successful make a payment. Your bank/creditcard will release the failed payment between 5 to 10 working days. If this is not the case, we advise you to contact your bank/creditcard company.
